August 6th, 2008 by admin

Speaking about the education in Ukraine, it is mainly divided into three levels: school level, university level, post-graduate level. School studying is divided into primary education, from the 1 till the 3d form; middle education from the 4 till the 8th form; senior school education form the 9th till 12th form. Before the 2006 year, the education lasted for 10 years, thus not it lasts for 12 years.

In order to become a student of the university, you have to pass the enrolling examinations; you may study at the expenses of the state or for free. However, the Ukraine is coming to the tendency to stop making the enrolling examinations for those who are eager to pay for the education.

The choice of the university is just great. You may choose among the humanities and exact sciences; you may choose among the state and private universities. However, one should be careful with private universities as only a limited number of them have the proper level of accreditation.

When you graduate from the university, you earns whether bachelor’s degree, it means a not finished high education, specialist’s degree or master’s degree. However, the debates are taking place in Ukraine in order to reduce the degree of Specialist and only to leave the degree of Bachelor and Master.
